Hi, I’m Madeleine Hardus, nutritionist and lifestyle coach. I’ve helped many clients with a whole range of symptoms from digestive issues, hormonal imbalances to cancer.
I work with women who value their health and energy. Women who want to shift their focus to their life and not their symptoms. Their respect for life quality and desire for understanding the connectedness of symptoms is why they bring me onto their team.
As an expert of Full Body System and helping many clients in the UK and the Netherlands, I came to understand clinically (not only theoretically) the concept of bio-individuality. Everyone truly needs a different approach, an approach that’s tailor-made for the individual, while working naturally in partnership with the client.
For years, I worked as a researcher in the swamps of Borneo and the lowland mountains of Sumatra studying the diet of our red cousins and learning about different cultures at the same time. I’ve seen and experienced first hand the symptoms of hormonal imbalances. After giving birth and defending my PhD for the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands), I started specialising in Orthomolecular Nutrition and learning many top-notch connections through Full Body System.
At the start of 2017 I was invited to lead workshops to some small and large-scale clients. One of them to the staff of one of the best University in the world, the University of St Andrews, comprising topics such as Food & Mood, Intolerances & Allergies and Menopause. And keep on doing this until this day.
What I love? I like to read published articles to keep myself fully updated with any new discoveries and advances in the fields of nutrition and biomedicine as well as attending to international conferences and workshops on these topics. I am in love with books, herbs, nature, raw chocolate, turmeric lattes, and any tweak and hack that brings human neurophysiology, habits and achievements to their full potential.
Though I lived for several years in Indonesia during my studies (where I met my Portuguese man), I am now the mum of two beautiful and naughty girls living in the historic heart of Warwickshire, UK. My proudest moment was being invited to give workshops for the University of St Andrews. This experience has taught me that no two workshops are the same and to listen and interact with the audience makes it so much better.
MY VALUES AND ETHICS
Unique
Every client has its own bio individuality and therefore, I adjust the healing protocol to your specific needs, symptoms and cultural heritage.
Evidence-led
Science and empirical research are an integral part of my education and I'll work accordingly.
Tailored to your needs and goals
During the initial session we start with setting SMART goals to clarify your needs and goals.
Transparency
With psycho-education I will provide you a rationale of the approach I'm taking. And I'll only work with you if your presenting issue is within my scope of competence.
Step-by-step approach
I'll make sure to communicate with you how quick or slow the implementation can be. Therefore I offer one-change sessions to make change easier, effective and long-lasting.
Client-centred and Feedback
Your experience is my top priority. I’ll create a safe and non-judgemental space for you to feel understood and to be honest. Through questioning and feedback, we’ll create a meaningful and effective working alliance together.
